Clark said: "It's no secret I was trying to bring in a striker this week because I was down to just the two lads and to maybe give Jordan a rest, but he looked very sharp, so maybe I was wrong to do so."
Clark also explained why he decided not to follow up his interest in Orient striker Jonathan Tehoue earlier this year.
The Terriers boss added: "By the time Jonathan Tehoue became available after the court case with his Turkish club, he had gone a full year without competitive football and that was a big gamble for me to take and I decided not to."
