Town Defender Jon Dyson is struggling to shake off a flu bug, before Saturday's visit to The Reebok Stadium.

Huddersfield born Dyson played 50 minutes of last Saturday's game, even though he fell ill shortly before kick off. He was substituted for former Ajax player Dean Gorre.

Since he has been unable to train with the first team, and only returned to Storthes Hall yesterday for a light workout.

Manager Lou Macari is optimistic though about Jon's chances of making the trip over the Pennines, "Jon came through a light session on Tuesday but he still wasn’t feeling that good. One or two of the younger players went home on Saturday with the flu. It was no great surprise when one or two came down with it that three or four followed. It’s only Wednesday now so there is plenty of time before Saturday."

In other news Birmingham have dropped all interest in Welsh fullback Steve Jenkins.
