The Terriers boss was more than plesaed with the performance of his side against a team that were playing three divisions higher than Town last season.

"I know we have gone out of the competition but I was particularly pleased with the performance," he told the clubs official website after the game at Elland Road.

"If you look at where Leeds were last season and where we were last season, I can take great encouragement from my team's performance. I am obviously very disappointed, because I did not feel we deserved to go out, but we have and we will pick ourselves up,"
said the Town boss.

"In the last two or three games we have played well without scoring, but the display was very encouraging for our game against Peterborough this Saturday."
