Huddersfield Town manager Lou Macari has revealed that Peter Ndlovu did want to secure a permanent deal with the Terriers.

Macari said, "Trevor Francis wasn’t going to sell him to us and he told Peter that on Friday. I'm just disappointed that they’ve taken the view and told Peter Ndlovu that he wouldn’t be coming to Huddersfield under any circumstances."
This now leaves the Huddersfield boss short on firepower, but former Manchester United ace Macari now faces another stumbling block, funding of any purchase. If he wants to secure another forward before Saturdays game against Bolton (Away) he may have to sell, and that could result in Jamie Vincent joining Portsmouth.
While Macari does not want to lose Vincent, he admits that the money may be too tempting for the club.
"My ideal situation as manager is to keep every player we have and add to the squad, but we might have spent too much in the last 12 to 18 months for that to be possible," he explained.
