Nottingham Forest seal on-off deal for Huddersfield duo Lewis O'Brien & Harry Toffolo

Nottingham Forest have secured a deal for Huddersfield Town duo Lewis O'Brien and Harry Toffolo from Huddersfield Town, 90min understands.

The deal for the pair, worth in excess of £10m and was close to being finalised on Monday before the deal hit a snag involving the Toffolo part of the deal.

However, further talks have now resolves the issue two players are due for medicals ahead of moving to The City Ground.

O'Brien was one of the Championships' stand-out performers over the past two seasons and a host of clubs showed an interest in the 23-year-old central midfielder - but he is now heading to Forest.

He is being followed through the door by 26-year-old left-back Toffolo, who managed an impressive six goals and seven assists for the Terriers last season.

Forest have to this point have enjoyed a hugely busy summer, having already added Taiwo Awoniyi, Neco Williams, Moussa Niakhate, Giulian Biancone, Omar Richards, Wayne Hennessey and Dean Henderson to the ranks ahead of their long-awaited return to the Premier League.

Costa Rican youngster Brandon Aguilera has also joined from Alajuelense on a four-year deal but will spend the next six months back in his homeland on loan with Guanacasteca.

Once the deals for O'Brien and Toffolo are confirmed, it will take Forest's summer spending to over £70m.
