Notts County v Huddersfield

Last updated : 06 August 2010 By BBC Sport

Huddersfield will be without brothers Tom and Nathan Clarke, who are both suffering from knee problems

Gary Naysmith could make his debut while on-loan striker Joe Garner may start in place of the unfit Lee Novak.

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds:

"For 10 days I've been like a caged lion. I've just wanted to get into the real stuff and the excitement of it all.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the new players gel with the old players and watching the squad come together.

"Notts County are a team on the up and will be on a high after their success last season.

"So we know this is one of the toughest opening fixtures we could have got, but we are prepared and ready to go."

Notts County manager Craig Short told BBC Radio Nottingham:

"Dave (Kevan) has been instrumental in helping me get players in.

"I've watched him working and he's one of the best and I've told the players they are lucky to have him.

"He's been a real help with recruitment.

"His knowledge of the game is great, he knows so many people."
