Peltier pens new seal

Huddersfield full-back Lee Peltier has signed a new two-year deal, which sees him contracted to the Galpharm Stadium until 2014. The 23-year-old joined the Terriers from Yeovil last summer and enjoyed a brilliant first season, where he made over 50 appearances and was named the "Player's Player of the Season" at the club's end of season awards. Peltier was already contracted to the West Yorkshire club until 2012, however, he firmly believes the club has a bright future. He told the club's official website: "I've signed an extended deal here because I see the ambition and where the club wants to go; that made the decision easy for me. I settled in really quickly and had a good season, so I'm looking to build on that." Manager Lee Clark was also pleased with the deal and added: "This new contract shows how highly we rate Lee, as well as how much he enjoys being at Huddersfield Town. "There's no doubt about it - Lee could play at a higher level. The club wants to get there and I want to see him develop through the leagues with us."
