Terriers bag Johnson coup

Huddersfield have signed Plymouth midfielder Damien Johnson on a season-long loan. The tough-tackling former Birmingham enforcer has moved to the Galpharm Stadium with a view to a permanent move. Terriers manager Lee Clark told the club's official website: "I'm very pleased with this - Damian has been on the radar for a while. To get someone in who has played his entire career in the Premier League and Championship is brilliant and follows on from the rest of the close season signings. "Having spoken to (Plymouth manager) Peter Reid I know he didn't really want to lose Damien, but it is something he had to do financially and we stepped in. "Damien is a very athletic player who adds something different to our midfield options. He's defensively minded and is a natural holding player. I'm looking forward to working with him. Johnson, 31, recently retired from international football with Northern Ireland after winning 56 caps for his country.
