| Lou Macari has sent a clear message to Portsmouth boss Steve Claridge. Jamie Vincent will remain at the Mcalpine. |
Macari said, "I've made my position perfectly clear. He's our regular left-back and he's in our squad week-in-week-out, and he's a player we need if we want to stay in this division. If we want to contribute to our own downfall then we can afford to get rid of two or three players."
Lou is adamant that Town must not become a selling club, in order to avoid relegation, but an increased offer may still tempt the former Manchester United ace.
Earlier this week Macari revealed the financial difficulties he is having at the club, to Jimmy Hill on The Last Word. The money Macari would receive from any deal would surely act as the catalyst in bringing another forward to the club.
