A clanger by each goalkeeper meant that Bournemouth and Huddersfield Town shared the points in a 1-1 draw.
The draw keeps Bournemouth out of the relegation zone while Huddersfield's point keeps them in the hunt for automatic promotion.
The Yorkshire team will be happy with their away point as Bournemouth created the better chances in a lack-lustre game.
Huddersfield had the first shot of the game but Gary Taylor-Fletcher put his effort way over the crossbar when just outside the area.
Bournemouth hit back on 18 minutes when Steve Fletcher flicked the ball on, and Steven Foley-Sheridan set off on a jinking run beating two defenders before a desperate last-ditch tackle by Danny Adams dispossessed him.
On 34 minutes James Hayter's shot was blocked and Fletcher hit a tame shot towards the Huddersfield goal. Inexplicably Paul Rachubka, in the Huddersfield goal, let the ball slip under his body and it rolled into the net.
Town tried to hit back straight away with Jonathan Worthington putting another shot over the Bournemouth bar without testing the goalkeeper.
Foley-Sheridan then floated over a teasing cross that Hayter could only head straight into the goalkeeper's arms.
Huddersfield started the second half with purpose and intent, but for all their pressure, they couldn't create a worthwhile chance.
Hayter almost hit a second for Bournemouth when he got hold of a flick-on by Steve Fletcher, took it past the defender but David Mirfin made a last-ditch tackle.
A corner by Foley-Sheridan was then headed out, Eddie Howe crossed the ball back in but Steve Fletcher could only put his header over the bar.
On 70 minutes came the second goalkeeper mistake of the day. Danny Adams put a cross over that Gareth Stewart in the Bournemouth goal should easily have dealt with, but he let the ball go under him. Gary Taylor-Fletcher couldn't miss from one yard out.
As both sides looked for the winning goal the game started to open up. From a corner Howe put in a powerful header from point-blank range that Rachubka managed to save.
The danger wasn't over as Brett Pitman put the ball back across but Hayter headed over when well-placed.
Nathan Clarke came close to stealing all three points for Huddersfield after his header from a corner went tantalising close.
