Pawel Abbott scored a one and made the other two as a rampant Huddersfield piled the pressure on third-placed Oxford in the race for automatic promotion.
Abbott put Town ahead on 40 minutes when his mis-hit volley bounced over the arms of Yeovil keeper Chris Weale, as he dived full length in a bid to reach the scuffed shot.
On-loan Preston striker Abbott then sealed the Huddersfield's ninth win in 11 games by providing the ammunition for Danny Schofield to score a second-half double.
The Polish Under-21 international, dashed down the right on 46 minutes to swing over a cross, which Anthony Lloyd headed down for Danny Schofield to bury.
Abbott then touched on Efe Sodje's long ball out of defence after 60 minutes into Danny Schofield's path for the winger to score his second of the match, by cheekily chipping Weale as the keeper tried to dive at his feet.
Weale deserved better for an impressive individual display that saw him pull off two cracking first-half saves to twice deny veteran striker Andy Booth.
He parried Booth's goalbound header from Andy Holdsworth's corner, before plucking another Booth header from underneath his own crossbar after the Yeovil defence failed to deal with a long throw from Nat Clarke.
Booth proved to be such an aerial threat that Yeovil boss Gary Johnson made a tactical switch as early as the 12th minute by bring on substitute Hugo Rodrigues for Colin Pluck.
Johnson also threw Andy Lindegaard and Kirk Jackson into the action after the break in place of Paul Terry and Andy Bishop, as he sought to mastermind a Yeovil revival.
But Way's 20-yard strike was all the visitors had to show for their efforts - even though they laid siege to the Terriers penalty area in the closing stages.
Jubilant Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson said: "This is a massive win for us because it really puts the pressure on Oxford.
"They will be looking at this result and are sure to be really worried that Huddersfield are coming to town on Saturday."
