The 22-year-old, who spent a time on loan at Darlington last season, leaves the club having failed to make the breakthrough into the first team at the Galpharm Stadium.
"I know he enjoyed his time here," Terriers boss Peter Jackson told the club's official website.
"I really hopes he gets fixed up somewhere and proves me wrong because he is a decent player who did brilliantly in the reserves for us."
