Huddersfield have signed former Northern Ireland midfielder Damien Johnson on a season-long loan from League One rivals Plymouth Argyle.Town boss Lee Clark told the club website: "To get someone who has played his entire career in the Premier League and Championship is brilliant.

"They didn't want to lose him but it's something they had to do financially."

Johnson, 31, played for Portadown and Blackburn Rovers before an eight-year stint at Birmingham City.

He joined Argyle in February on a free transfer and made 20 appearances, scoring twice.
